The Chesapeake terrace rubble landfill

For well over 20 years the residents of Woodwardville and the surrounding community have been fighting to keep an industrial rubble landfill from being established within its boundaries, and adjacent to Historic Woodwardville.

Recently residents received news that the Maryland Court of Appeals will be reviewing and possibly issuing another judgement, seemingly the final step in a decades long court battle. However, there is continued concern within the community, surrounding areas, and local government that the threat of a landfill in our backyard could continue.

The Maryland Court of Appeals case is scheduled to be heard on Monday May 8th during the morning session.

Residents of Woodwardville and the surrounding community are asking that concerned county residents join voices with them in the continued effort to fight "The Odenton Landfill" by calling or writing letters to their county representatives and if able, attending the Maryland Court of Appeals hearing on May 8th.
